Calcium stearate — stearate, white powder which is practically not dissolved in water. It turns out as a result of reaction of neutralization of stearic acid the strong basis — calcium hydroxide (hydrated lime).
Calcium stearate is used as component of plastic greasings, in production of linoleum, artificial skin, plastic and PVC, in pharmaceutical industry when tabletting pharmaceuticals, in the food industry by production of dietary supplements and confectionery.
