Features
- Methyl silicones (PMS) - transparent, colourless, chemically inert and corrosion - resistant liquids. Are dissolved in aromatic and chlorinated hydrocarbons, are not dissolved in the lower alcohol and water. Polymethylsiloxane liquids possess water repellency, the good dielectric and damping properties and are surface - active substances.
- Temperature of hardening of liquids is below - 60 °C. Polymethylsiloxane liquids can be used at working temperatures from - 50 to + 200 °C. Liquids with temperature of flash below + 200 °C are used in open systems only at temperatures which are not exceeding flash temperature.
- Unlike mineral or synthetic oils, polymethylsiloxane liquids possess excellent electric insulation, anti - adhesive and penogasyashchy properties.
