PE of a pipe are applied in in 2 main segments, these are the main communications (gas, water), the main consumer in this segment the state in the person of contractors of the construction organizations. The second segment is the extracting branch, the main consumer are the companies on extraction of uranium.
rn
Software of a pipe are applied in housing and communal services (also cold water supply, systems of heating is hotter) by the main consumer construction companies are, it is also used by the population.
rn
The oil-extracting branch of software and PE of a pipe is not applied, application was found by only metalplastic and fiber glass pipes.

Technical characteristics of Polyethylene (PE) pipes
rn
The Polyethylene of a High Pressure (PHP) - the light elastic crystallizing material with heat resistance without loading to 60 °C (for separate brands to 90 °C). Allows cooling (various brands in the range from -45 °C to -120 °C).
rn
The Polyethylene of Low Pressure (PLP) - the light elastic crystallizing material with heat resistance of separate brands to 110 °C. Allows cooling to -80 °C.
rn
SDR for polyethylene pipes. Strength characteristic of a PE pipe
rn
Polyethylene pipes are very often marked by the characteristic of SDR - the standard dimensional relation. Thus producers of polyethylene pipes manage to range strength characteristics ("pressure classes ") for various pipes of one diameter. SDR are the relation of diameter of a pipe to wall thickness, a t.a:
rn
SDR = D/s (1)
rn
where
rn
D = vneshy diameter of a pipe (mm)
rn
s = thickness of a wall of a pipe (mm)
rn
SDR 15 means that the external diameter of a pipe in 15 times more of thickness, and does not mean that the pipe will sustain 15 atmospheres.
rn
the SDR is higher, the pipe wall in comparison with external diameter is thinner, i.e. that "the pipe is weaker ".
rn
the SDR is lower the pipe wall in comparison with diameter is thicker, i.e. that "the pipe is stronger "
rn
As a result, the pipe with lower SDR has higher class of pressure in relation to a pipe with high SDR.
rn
Main sizes / classes of pressure of rigid polyethylene (PE) pipes.
rn
In production of rigid polyethylene pipes PE 50, polyethylene brand PEH or PE-HD are generally used. Working pressure on water at 20 oC is specified as the conditional pressure of PN.
rn
For polyethylene pipes in Europe following is used I am glad conditional pressure:
rn
PN 2.5 - the max. working pressure of 2.5 bars
rn
PN 4 - the max. working pressure of 4 bars
rn
PN 6 - max. working pressure is 6 bars
rn
PN 10 - max. working pressure is 10 bars
rn
PN 16 - max. working pressure is 16 bars
rn
1 bar = 105 Pa (N/m2) = 0.1 N/mm2 = 10.197 kp/m2 = 10.20 m H2O = 0.9869 atm = 14.50 psi (lbf/in2) = 106 dyn/cm2 = 750 mmHg
rn

Appearance of a surface
rn |
rn
polyethylene pipes have to have smooth external and internal surfaces. The insignificant longitudinal strips and a sinuosity which are not removing wall thickness polyethylene pipes out of limits of permissible deviations are allowed. On external, internal and face surfaces of pipes bubbles, cracks, sinks, the foreign inclusions seen without magnifying devices are not allowed. Color of pipes black, black with blue longitudinal strips in number of not less than four polyethylene pipes evenly located on a circle or blue which shades are not regulated. polyethylene pipes from PE 32 produce only black color. Appearance of a surface of pipes and end faces has to correspond to a control sample in accordance with GOST 18599 and technological documentation

Coefficient of decrease in the maximum working pressure at a temperature of the water transported on the pipeline to 40 °C on service life of 50 years - according to GOST 18599.
rn
Outer connecting diameters of pipes, thickness of walls and their maximum deviations, ovality after production have to conform to requirements for the corresponding pipes (SDR) in accordance with GOST 18599 and to Appendix A of these specifications. Requirements to appearance when machining parts of pipes are defined by requirements of technological documentation.
rn
The carving on connecting parts (at its existence) has to be a full profile, without the broken and not completed threads and to provide a svinchivayemost of the details connected manually. Polyethylene pipes have to be suitable for operation in the conditions of climate UHL in accordance with GOST 15150, at an extreme temperature of an external surface polyethylene pipes from minus 50 to plus 70 °C.
