- dehydrochlorination of dihlorohydrins of glycerin: 4 - 5% aqueous solution of mother substances with Ca(OH)2 is heated to 100 °C. The formed epichlorohydrin is quickly brought out of reaction zone for prevention of further transformations.
- allyl chloride epoxidation by organic hydroperoxides, for example, rubs - butylhydroperoxide in the presence of complex compounds of molybdenum at 100 °C;
Application.- epichlorohydrin - intermediate compound when receiving synthetic glycerin;
- for receiving epoxies, ion exchange resins;
- at synthesis of epichlorhydrin rubbers;
- as mother substance when receiving pharmaceuticals, number of derivatives of glycerin, detergents, lubricants, emulsifiers, glues;
- as solvent for cellulose, pitches, dyes and pesticides;
