STH trichloroethylene for hromatogr. (3 ml)

Trichloroethylene — colorless, transparent, mobile, volatile liquid with the peculiar smell reminding chloroform smell and sweet, burning taste. Density 1,462 — 1,466. It is completely overtaken at temperature + 86 — 88 °C. It is almost water - insoluble; mixes up with organic solvents, does not ignite and does not blow up. Under the influence of light and air decays with formation of phosgene and galogensoderzhashchy acids and gets pink coloring. For stabilization of trichloroethylene add 0,01% timol to it.

Except application in medicine as narcotic means, trikhloroetilen it is also used in the industry and in printing as industrial solvent.

The preparation is contraindicated at diseases of liver and kidneys, violations of warm rhythm, diseases of lungs, anemia. In obstetric practice it is contraindicated also at premature birth and heavy toxicoses of the second half of pregnancy.
